TASKS
You are
working in groups of four students, you have to distribute the work and each
one must investigate the century where he or she has arrived with the capsule of
time (decide which traveler you are).
Each team
will elaborate a unique work with its investigations making a presentation:
In this
presentation you must answer the questions that I propose, you can include
photos, images, videos and any other information you consider to be important.
You have 5
sessions of 45 minutes:
The first day
you will form groups, distribute roles, read the web quest and start with the
task of collecting information (individually). This information will be
collected on paper.
The second day
you will collect the requested information (individually).
In the
third day you will finish the research and begin the elaboration of the
presentation (in group).
The fourth day
you will elaborate the presentation.
The fifth
session will be devoted to expose the research work to classmates and evaluation.
PROCESS
Each group
should investigate on the Internet, you can also use encyclopedias or text
books.
1. The first traveler should answer the following
questions:
Who was
Christopher Columbus?
What was
the role of the Catholic Kings in the Discovery?
How was the
first trip? Were there difficulties?
How many
trips did he make?
What
peoples lived in America before the Discovery? Make a brief report of one of
them.
What impact
did the Discovery of America have on the lives of the Spaniards and the
inhabitants of America?
2. These are the questions that the second
traveler must answer:
Who was
Carlos I?
Where was
he born? Why?
What
territories did his empire comprise?
What
territories did he inherit from the maternal part and which did he have on the
paternal part?
What
petitions did the Cortes de Castilla do when King was sworn to him?
How many
times did he got married? How many children did he have?
How many
wars did he fight against France? Why?
Why did he
decide to leave his throne?
3. Questions for the traveler number three:
Who was Felipe
II?
What titles
did Felipe II and María I of England obtain when they married?
With what
countries did Spain spread across the Atlantic and the Pacific?
Who was he
married to? How many children did he have?
4. Questions for the fourth traveler:
What kings
left the government of Spain in the hands of valid?
What major
reforms did the Borbonica dynasty introduce to Spain?
How was
society organized in the Modern Age?
What
is the name of the Golden Age? Why?
In what
disciplines did Lope de Vega stand out?
